Hey.

I was driving 22t of wood from Akureyri to Berlin. I used a 380 hp engine on a Scania R and did not have a single problem. And then I encountered the snow. Uphill I went 7 km/h max. Even downhill, I could not get it over 40 km/h. I thought that it was because the engine was relatively weak, so I tried a 730 hp engine. And I had the same problem. Only that uphill I got to 10 km/h, and downhill barely over 53 km/h. I think that you have put TOO MUCH resistance in the snow. The AI has no problem whatsoever. I'm not a trucker (yet), but I know that even without chains around the tyres it will be able to climb a hill better than that.

The issue is not the engine but the automatic gearbox, it puts the gearbox in a wrong gear to climb the hill.
Change to a manual gearbox and you will see a world of difference..

I use a manual gearbox. I drive with a sequental gearshift. I had to keep it in first gear to climb the hill, some parts I got in into second, but I drove mostly in first gear

The AI traffic is not affected by the snow resistance (game limitation)

I know the AI is not affected by it. But when a player drive there, he/she meets too much resistance in the snow

The problem is that the player has no resistance of the snow. Snow is slippery. That's the whole fun of driving in Iceland. And you can avoid the snowy bits by staying on the tarmac.

Some say, I'm addicted to ETS2. But then I say. No, it's ProMods, it's a way of life.

Why would you even keep it in first gear? I "take-off" on 4th, then I put it in 8th, and I don't really have problems. But yeah, that snow is slippery, so I can't really go as fast as I would like to (I try to reach Reykjavík without breaks).
Peterson logistics - We think, you pay, it's that simple.

If the truck has a 6x2 config, chance is there is not enough traction. If it's a mid-lift, try to raise the middle wheels. Change the truck config to either 4x2 or 6x4.
