Tall trailers won't fit in certain areas

I was hauling a large/tall yacht down in Bulgaria. On the road between Ruse and Pleven, there was an area that I could not go under, even though there was no bridge or low road sign in sight. Smaller cars could easily go under, but I couldn't. This seems to be an issue only with tall trailers, as other smaller trailers could go under this area.
