Advanced mapping tricks (from MandelSoft)

You may know the basics of mapping, but you may wonder: "how do the guys over at ProMods do this and that?" This video swill explain to you how some of our state-of-the-art mapping skills in bite-size chunks.

EPISODE 1: Curves & Slopes

This tutorial will explain to you the "Free Node" rotation property and why you should even bother with it to begin with. It will also give you some tips to keep in mind when designing curves and slopes.

Well... So I have to delete all my ramps and do them again, then spend hours to fit the terrain again and signs too :/
I was using many nodes to make it look nicely and the same way as in reality. Does it affect performance a lot? I don't have fps issues at my interchanges.

The use of more nodes may affect performance a bit, but not that you'd get sudden FPS drops. The main reason for node reduction is to make it smooth. Way smoother than you could do with more nodes.

Thanks a lot, I was trying to use that terrain thing but I prefer visual explanation like a video. Now it should work! ;)
