for a start the file test.mbd should be in the map folder.
Also you should only add files you modified in the mod folder.
So only the map file will do if you didnt change models, materials, textures etc.

I still get the same error. I feel like its probably something obvious... I'm a beginner when it comes to creating maps. I put the "test" folder and "test.mbd" into the "map" folder, and that is all in the mod file. I go into the game and put edit test but I have the same error. Like I said, it's probably something obvious that I don't realize I am missing.

im still getting the error. I did it exactly as you said but still in read only mode? do I have to do edit mod.scs/map/test.mbd?
That doesnt work and the last pic doesnt work either.
As for the other problem. Are you sure that you packed it as a zip file?
Could you otherwise send me your file so I can look at it?

Am I developing at the moment?

For the first pic: use a "fork" prefab to split up the roadway in two halves. I think FLD does offer one prefab suitable for this situation. Then connect this fork prefab to your ramps. Make sure all nodes are connected properly, though and don't leave "loose ends"

Hi,
I really enjoyed your tutorial, so I'm working on my map now, but I encountered a problem when joining roads.
The problem appears when I join a road with a crossroad, gas station or anything similar. The end of the road sticks to the mounting point, but it doesn't align correctly. And when AI vehicles are driving across such joint they disappear. The problem usually appears when I'm joining points with different heights. But even if I set them both same heights it persists. I don't know how to solve it, so if anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

What colours are the nodes? You can't connect two red nodes, whatever you try to do.
If this is not the case, have you tried holding the ALT key while moving the node and let it snap to another node?
