Just try out a few things and observe their effects. Experiment with it somewhere with one cut plane and a few objects and see what it does. Heck, I even DEMONSTRATED in a video how they work. It's not like there is no information about it...

Hello everybody! Recently, i decided to work a bit with map editor. The first problem I've faced is unability to save maps. I have base/map folders in game folder. Can it be connected with my steam folder location?(Not C:/Program files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/ets2, but D:/Steam/steamapps/common/ets2)

The folders need to be in your running path so if you are running from D: drive they will need to be in that folder

I dont get it at all , i did everything what was written but after typing in edit or edit europe ets2 crashes.
Watched many youtube video's but that helped not much..
I did:
Installed the vanilla game ( also )
In the documents/ets2 folder created a folder called editor.
In that folder i have 2 folders base and def with the extracted files ( from the vanilla dvd )
Run ets2 Vanilla version or steam version( In small window ) press the "Grave" key type in edit or edit europe...
Loads for a few min and ets2 crash....
Yes i have read all posts but i did not see that someone has this problem also...
Any tip what i could have done wrong ?
( I also tried what is told here with 2 folders on desktop , also no success )

@DjMrCoolkat could you post your game.log here? It is under Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2. You can use pastebin to paste that log.

Remove ALL these mods and try map editor again.
