Detaching a (prefab) roadpiece's node from another node

Hello to all you mappers out there.

I was wondering if there is an easy way of detaching nodes (in this case with roads) without deleting one of the parts. The roads snap together, but is there a way to unsnap them, so to say?

The SHIFT key can disconnect nodes if you use it in combination with the move tool.
Inversly, the ALT key forces them to connect while moving and snap to the height of the node you want to connect to.
