So many files, how do I find what is I just modify region the map file ?

Again: While you map press the A key. It will show you the background map and the sectors with their borders so you can see which sectors you have mapped in. After saving you pick out only those you have edited and pack them in your mod.
I think the most idiot-proof way is to when you open the editor save immediateley and then again when you're done. Only those files with a new time of latest edit are the ones you need.
