Help with getting companies to work

I'm trying to place a company in the map, and it keeps giving me these errors:
<ERROR> Company item without company assignment! (-110806 76.5469 -35613.3)
<ERROR> Failed to find company link! (company.volatile..medford)
I'm pretty sure I have all my def files in place (at least the ones that are under my mod's def/company file). Is there anything else I need to do in order to place working companies?

I think you have to show us your def files, otherwise we won't be able to guess the issue.

Ok i did some fiddling with the files in my mod... and for some reason it works now No idea what I did...
If I had to guess, I took out the company files in my def folder, ran the mod, and then put them back in. That must have reset the company or something like that.

Interesting.
Please note, that when you create definitions for companies, you have to launch the editor and hit save. Only after saving, company logos will appear and then you're sure companies are assigned and should work in game

Yeah, that's what I figured out. Do I need to recompute the map as well after adding definitions for companies? I've been doing that before saving, and it's working for me.
