Dear all,

After the overwhelming response to my previous question (which ran literally in the zeroes), I am going to try again; but with a different question.

As previously mentioned, I like to make skins for trucks (basically because I cannot mod any deeper, being unable to run Studio on my Linux laptop). I paint parts, but keep other parts blank (alpha, transparent), and this will allow for the basic colour to show. I set the basic colour in the def .sii, and keep locked set false, so you can in the game set a different colour. Same applies to the sheen in metallic paints.

Here, however, I run into trouble. Yes, I can edit the basic colour in the game, but as soon as I purchase, or if I add other things to the truck, the colour returns to the basic colour as defined in the .sii, and the newly-chosen colour disappears.

What am I doing wrong? Could a more experienced modder help me?

Best regards,

Matt

you might try posting this topic in the Academy section of the forum, that will give your post more visibility to the modders since that is where they usually post
