Yes it does work but you have to modify the file, read the first post of this thread, everything you need is there.

You have to modify the manifest to include 1.28 compatibility.

EDIT: Let me know if you don't know how to do it.

EDIT 2: Fr8i could perhaps include a note about it in the first post as well?

Open Manifest.sii with any text editor you have and change 1.27.* to 1.28.*
