246 studios uk rebuild

Hi everyone!

246 studios, a mod and game developing studios based in the UK has seen, and rightfully so, that the UK seemed to be a neglected part of the base map.

As such, they have developed this map, expected to be compatible with ProMods in the next version of the map, as now, it is not compatible with any other map mod.

I hereby include some information on the mod!

Any improvements to the UK are welcome in my eyes! As long as it's truely compatible with PM. That link from M62/A1 to the A63 is long overdue!

Also it would probably become incompatible after some time with Promods. Since Promods is currently working in the UK.

Hello, I am one of the developers who created this map, we are still supporting the map until at least patch 1.30, we are not making no new content for the map, the map will work with the next promods once promods releases an update for 1.27. we had to stop development as the mod will not make us no money thus not worthwhile continuing any more work

I downloaded it so you don't have to.

It's 300MB assets .scs file (I didn't check what's inside but looking on screenshots - nothing new...) + 1GB of files that look like SCS base. So what's the point of including so much, when this little mod should be like 5MB I guess?

Every download from Sharemods = money for uploader.
Sharemods servers are sometimes unstable, user connection may be instable too (that happened on my laptop) - good luck downloading that big file one first try.

Not recommended, to be honest. 1GB of files just to get 2 cities?
I don't see anything interesting on presented screenshots (I've seen all screenshots in gallery, looks like vanilla UK).

@Vøytek, According to what I understand, in their new version to be released, this is going to be fixed. Some new work will be included as well as the shortening of the files and added compatibility for other mods.

Making profit is not the point of modding, it is just a hobby, though extremely time consuming, and should be treated as such.
