Windows 7, some stuff was easier to find there, the more advanced settings.
Windows 10? I prefer it over Windows 8.

And I think I found the problem. See it where you posted the game.log.txt
"use original files, unless told otherwise"

I worked it out. I only had Models for 1.8 not 1.8.1
