Will the PM team work on ATS?
Copying cities is a good start but if I were going to spend time changing anything, it would be the signs, as not only the font, but the exits are all wrong. All exits on every interstate highway are numbered, and there is a sign pointing to the exit on the road and in the air (like the "Ausfahrt" signs in Germany).

Mile markers would be cool to see, this could be done by placing one for every in game mile, then the mile it is kindve like how the mile signs work in the promods map. Also a 1:19 scale standalone map would be nice since it seems to fast paced when driving at 65mph.

Yea I agree. With a 1:19 scale map, it feels not just more realistic, but also more cities, scenery, landmarks, roads, etc. could be added.
Actually, in California I usually just see a small sign that says Exit with and arrow pointing to the off-ramp. As for Arizona, yes they are ALL numbered and have their own designated number for the exit in question. Arizona also boasts the title of having the most number of total interstate exits in the US. I think Nevada does things similar to Arizona with numbers. Most of the signage would go towards distance to go signs usually just three cities top is the next closest town of notable size, second one is usually the next closest stop for gas, food, or lodging. The third one will be the next closest major city along the route. Although inside the metro areas, such as Phoenix these signs will switch to showing the roads along the path of the interstate until you leave the city.Kobra2112 wrote:Copying cities is a good start but if I were going to spend time changing anything, it would be the signs, as not only the font, but the exits are all wrong. that would be an insane number of posts along the road. a game mile is not very far and to get a realistic number of actual markers from that would mean a sign for every few few hundred feet. not sure they want to put in that kind of work for such an insignificant feature of the road way.lykopotoboy wrote: Mile markers would be cool to see, this could be done by placing one for every in game mile, then the mile it is kindve like how the mile signs work in the promods map. Pretty sure all the US does, they do in the whole north west.
I should clarify, usually there is one sign at least that states the exit number in the sign
though there are signs that do not mention the numbers at all.
then there is this small sign that you come across on California exits that simply point the direction you should turn.
