So boring with this slow development , even with Arizona the map is still small , I wonder if by the end of the year we will get another DLC for ATS - New Mexico & Texas - at least! - I have discovered everything , no more unlocking stuff -
What about Germany in ETS2 ? It's from German Truck Simulator
They not have a competition from other truck game company and this is perfect for them...for now.

I'd say our sector is too niche to expect too much competition in the future. Still, sometimes I dream how a truck sim made by Rockstar would be...

It was possible to make a better game at the beginning of ETS2. Now SCS added many features that made this game better and more complex so it's harder to make a better one and it's not like Battlefield or Call of Duty that millions of people buy so it's not worth to make a realistic simulator for truck games lovers.

That is true Zniwek. We only represent a small portion of market sales. that makes cutting corners on development all the more appealing to designers. alas, if only it were a big budget hit then we might see some really neat landscapes!
I think when they chose the scale of the map it was also a way to cut corners since the US is such a large country, perhaps they feel they won't finish it all if they had the same scale as Europe. Of course at least 2/3rds of the US is just flat landscape with crop fields in between. The West is really where the landscape escapes the trend lots of mountains, valleys, canyons. its likely why they started there first.

They will have to keep the same quality or even improve it for future DLCs though and avoid the feeling of having gone a step backwards.

I'd say that the issue ain't doing their job quicker (doing a proper job takes time) but having more teams in parallel projects say one in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico and another one in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
