One of the first things I learned when I first moved to Kingsville, Texas was (a) always carry five gallons of gas and (b) if travelling to the next town, pack a bag lunch to eat along the way.

Is it really that bad over there?

I can't really imagine not having a petrol station nearby..

Honestly, I did exaggerate just a tiny bit. Except for the fuel that is. A trip from Kingsville, Texas heading south towards Harlingen, Texas is a very long and lonely drive since the only thing on both sides of the highway are the King and Armstrong Ranches. There are no towns, no villages, no places to even stop to use the bathroom (except maybe a straggly sagebrush). Certainly no gas stations!

On my first trip to visit my parents (who had moved into a senior housing tower in Harlingen), I ran out of fuel about two-thirds of the way. I waited about four hours until a Texas State Trooper stopped and inquired as to my problem. Fortunately for me, he carried five gallons in a jerry can and was kind enough to let me use it. After thanking him and continuing my trip, my car ran out of fuel again just as I was pulling into the first gas station to appear.

That was when I learned to always carry extra fuel with me, and more importantly always to fill the tank before making any out of town trips. Since my business was two-way radio sales and service, I had a very large service area so usually scheduled out of town trips to accomplish as many stops as possible in a loop. Since places to eat were very few and very far between, I also learned to always carry lunch as well!

Would rather have Texas because of the metropolises there; Oregon is just 70% desert with a 55 MPH truck speed limit to boot.

No no no! Oregon have very nice green forests on the west side. And the speed limit is 65 MPH (I think).

As this article says, speed limit will be raised by the end of this year from 55 to 60 mph for trucks and only on some freeways` sections. So basically it`s 55 MPH.

You mean Texas is almost desert... i don't really care about big cities, i prefer beautiful nature with scenery roads.

Believe its all but confirmed to be Oregon. As its my home state would love to see it in game next.

You mean that only the western edge of Texas is actually considered to be desert, I think most everything east of Odessa begins to resemble grasslands and begins to inherit a more tropical vibe due to the amount of warm moist air being pushed in from the Gulf of Mexico.

I mean that texas is almost desert by it's emptiness, i don't think it's the less interesting too, but i'm really much more hyped by Oregon

As SCS has said, this 2018 they have divided the ATS team in two, being able to work in 2 states at the same time. I mean, this poll should have a double option.
My vote was for Oregon and the other one would be for Utah, without any doubt.
