Or, you can help support SCS and buy the states so they can release them faster. There's nearly 40 people on the ATS side working on assets and mapping for ATS. If it took me 7+ months to do some very basic mapping in Texas, Oklahoma and eastern New Mexico, think about how much faster they can release things if there's at least 20 people on the mapping team for one state.

Thank you for the reply, Shir.

I guess I'll check back on ATS in 2020.
You are missing on some good stuff.
After the release in 2016. The Map has been rescaled.
Arizona,
More roads added.
New Mexico.
Oregon is in the works and progressing nicely, as it seems from the blog.

I'll quote myself from another thread in this forum:

At this rate the game will become very expensive with every new state becoming a paid DLC.
Although I much prefer ETS, I still like to hop onto ATS from time to time. And where I hope that they'll eventually finish the whole US, I honestly have my doubts, unfortunately.
If excluding Alaska.
Then SCS have released the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th biggest states.
Oregon being the 9th biggest. 10th if including Alaska.
Whops, I was tired. Oregon 8th biggest if excluding Alaska, otherwise 9th.
  • State: Square miles
  1. Alaska 665,384.04
  2. Texas 268,596.46
  3. California 163,696.32
  4. Montana 147,039.71
  5. New Mexico 121,590.30
  6. Arizona 113,990.30
  7. Nevada 110,571.82
  8. Colorado 104,093.67
  9. Oregon 98,378.54
Contiguous United States have an area of 3,120,426.4 square miles
Current ingame map has a states area of 509,848.74 square miles
And growing.

New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
All those combined, would be quite close to the size of New Mexico DLC.

I know.
But honestly, I've already given north of a thousand dollars to SCS, I own many of their games, I've gifted many of their games to friends, I do my best to help small studios specially those working for niche communities.
I also did spend most of my time from 15 to 25 years old doing nothing but modding, for free, to help with other niche communities so I know the importance of it. SH3, from 2005, is still going strong because of it.

But now, with a job, responsibilities and being still involved in other projects, ETS2 is my go-to when I want to unwind and relax. There's nothing more relaxing than driving for me. So I just really don't have a slot where I could fit helping out with ProMods atm, trust me I really wish I had. There are games I own and would love to try, and yet haven't got around to install, lack of time.

But hey, best of luck to ProMods team, hope you guys get there soon and without too much struggle. I've purchased ProMods before (paid) quite a few times I'd gladly do it again.

Cheers!

Hi,

the latest status is this quote:

It depends on SCS. They need to finish their updating of CA/NV/AZ, before we can merge our work back in.
Best regards,

Hello
Just out of pure curiosity, does anyone have any idea how much they have already done for ATS Promods? and also does anyone have even a slightest clue when we could expect to see ATS Promods released? I guess ETS 2 Promods is the main priority but ATS version would also be awesome as long as we would have to wait next 3 or 4 years for its release.

if you look at the date of that status its from 29 December 2017... we are now half way through May 2018 which basically makes that status useless, unless of course absolutely nothing has been done since then. also it doesn't answer my questions so next time try reading with understanding please.

unfortunately thats what i worry about if something if anything decent was done they would at least keep us up to date with progress... not looking for screenshots or any detailed info but at least simple answer yeah we are working on it we have done about a half of what we want to do before release.. that would be enough but they seem to care only about ets 2 unfortunitally
