Who needs a discount on a product that is already well below the $20 mark? How stingy can one get?

Considering the price of NM was €11.99/$11.99 as bigfoot said interested how they put a price on when officially no price has been set and having a "discount". Which leads to questioning this site and key seller leading onto another topic which I won't go into details as probably most people know about.
Most of these sites are copying copies of DLCs or cracking them. SCS gets nothing from this, no moeny as well. and the preorder sites as been already shown, will dispute a price which is bigger than they actual one which they knew would line up with New Mexico, and then they are putting their discount on their price, which after that discount you pay around the actual price. this is why he should abolish capitalism and restore the USSR. emm what? you only imagine the last sentes. its not there actually ;) .

No idea what you're talking about, because they give you a legit Steam key to activate on your account - it can't be cracked or something.

I usually buy games on Allegro (that's a Polish website, it's been around for almost 20 years).
NM on Steam costs 39.99 PLN - on Allegro it starts from ~21.90 PLN
Oregon on Steam costs 39.99 PLN as well - on Allegro it starts from 34.89 PLN

I never had problems when buying Steam keys outside of Steam - now prices on Steam are a tiny bit better after introducing our currency, but in EUR before they were just ridiculous, so even on sale games were still too expensive...

it is true for some of the sites, mostly those who have sellers like in Ebay, which are not owned by Ebay. my friend wanted to buy things from G2A and when he came to activate on steam it says the keys were already been redeemed, should be carful from this as well, and what i said about the way they do 32 percent off from a price they dont know yet is true, and in comprasion to Steam, SCS does not gets paid for these keys or from those who buy them. some of the money goes to steam if im correct, and some to SCS, when buying in Steam.

IG is a grey market key seller like the g2a. You may well obviously get a key doesn't mean they're legit in which case grey market sellers are usually aren't. As I explained in previous page the pricing is completely of to start with, than the fact that their website is banned on steam which is a very strong indication to say away from them you never know eventually your key might get blacklisted and blocked, when you find out that you key wasn't purchased legitimately methods and sold on sites like those and charge back financially hurting developers.

There's a lot of articles and if you do some research you really find out how grey market key sellers work, to the fact that even game developers coming out and speaking about this topic and telling people to avoid these sites are they don't help developers/publishers at all as keys aren't from them.

Point I'm making is buying off g2a/IG/cdkeys/kinguin are all grey market keys and you aren't helping SCS at all buying from there. There're plenty of legit sites if you want to buy cheaper and help SCS such as gog/green man gaming/gamesplanet and pretty much any site listed here: https://isthereanydeal.com/

@JoeP82: All keys that steam accept are legit! SCS has to register every key with steam otherwise Steam would know which game belongs with what key.

Instant gaming gives you a guarantee that the key works. Unlike with G2A, you don't have to buy this guarantee.
After the DLC was published officially, I got 32 cents back because it was a little cheaper than the MSRP price..

Actually SCS makes the same money off CD-key resellers as of steam sales. Steam keeps 30% of all sales via it's store.

The fact that a key works does not preclude the possibility it was sold grey-market, which can mean e.g. that the key was actually meant for another geographical market with different pricing.
