Hi guys, not long ago I saw SCS's video of the alpha build of ATS, on their blog. The game looks good so far, but it'll definitely be better once it has more than just California (and possibly parts of Nevada). I hope that eventually it includes all of the Continental US and Canada... but so far so good. Anyway I'm just wondering if anyone here knows what scale they're using? Midway through the video I saw that at the start of one of the jobs, the satnav said the distance was 163 miles, and it only took about 10 minutes... so I have a feeling that rather than the 1:15 in the UK or 1:19 in all other areas of ETS, this is using something like 1:22. That would make sense, especially with the sheer size of North America ;) The scale seems quite reasonable as it is; I'm just curious to know what they're using.

Maybe ScuL knows, or possibly Nico?

Scale in ETS cities are 1:3 and on the countryside it's 1:19 (except for GB)

Anyones guess is as good as mine, but 1:22 sounds likely in ATS as you have 4400 km Los Angeles to Washington DC
Distance Copenhagen to Rome is just about 2000 km, length of California is 1200 km

Settings in the editor will reveal the scale
I thought it was 1:32.5 but was recently corrected to 1:34.5
But the difference is subtle :D

You could also have found it in this topic http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11083

But you need to read the forum for the answer, so asking is easier :P

"background map in the ingame map Editor"

What I found out:
Europe map scale around 19,75-20 "Sweden vertical"
USA map scale around 28-28,75 "North Dakota horizontal
Timescales for both map differs from actual map scale I think.

Grid sides are 4000meters/units in both games.
Where in the editor settings do I find the Timescale?
