Hi All,
Got a curious issue that I suspect nothing can be done about but thought I'd ask on here anyway.
My Steam installation is set to stick to 1.35 for incompatible mods so that I have a stable base and can finish deliveries whenever I eventually return to them.
A few weeks ago I had been using ETS2 v1.35.1.31 with ProMods v2.41 with no problems and was saved halfway through a delivery. Fired up the game today following an update with ETS2 now at v1.35.1.150 and now resets my location to my home garage. So much for the incompatible mod option of keeping the game stable
Is there anyway via Steam to downgrade to v1.35.1.31 to finish off this delivery or is it just a case of sucking it up and moving on?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
PT

It doesn't mean that "branch" will never update.
When the stable, default version is 1.35, you should stick to it. Don't use "temporary_1_35" - it should be used when the public version updates to a higher number (like 1.36), but your mods are made for 1.35 and you want to stay on that older version.

Thought as much, dank Trucker2223.
I understand that Voytek, but I guess with the temporary_1_35 set my game updates less (less risk of breaking jobs) even if it is the current version of the game. Just a preference of mine so that I can leave a job halfway and return to it the next (real life) day.

That is not true. While the latest version of the game is 1.35 the "temporary_1_35" branch will update exactly the same as the "opt out of all betas" branch, meaning there is no difference between those two branches at the moment. The "temporary_1_35" branch will (usually) stop receiving updates when the next version of the game (ETS2 1.36) is released or starts the open beta period. I say "usually" because there have been a few isolated incidents in the past where the "temporary" branch was updated after the open beta period started due to the release of a new DLC or some critical bug fix(es). The only truly stable branches are "temporary_1_34" and older (i.e. versions older than the current release).
One option is to run Steam in "Offline mode", which will prevent Steam from updating the game regardless of which branch you have selected. There are a few drawbacks like some Steam items (those they give away for completing WoT challenges) won't be available to select in-game, and the game will complain that it can't connect to Steam each time you start the game. But if you can live with these things then consider "Offline mode".
Hate to disagree, but I have since selected "opt out of all beta programs" and my ETS2 install has updated to 1.35.3.4. Selecting to opt into temporary_1_35 beta reverted my install back to 1.35.1.150.
The mystery of Steam I guess!

My apologies, I will refine my answer a bit. Both the "Temporary" and the "opt out of all betas" branches are updated at the same time (both were updated on September 26th), but it seems that the "temporary" branch is one minor update behind at the moment. So I should have said that both branches have the same update schedule until the new version (1.36) starts. My point of the "temporary" branch not being any more stable than the "opt out of all betas" branch remains valid.
