I'd suspect the last mod in the list that Rudi listed as real brand name mods cause problems if they aren't updated properly. I don't use this one personally.
The Animated Gates in Companies mod (Company anim gate) may cause issues if the prefabs weren't updated properly. I've been using it without any crashes so far.
I haven't seen any reports of Daniels Random Events Mod causing problems in the development thread on SCS Software's forums.

I de-activated the one with gas stations. Animated gates is in testing, Daniels de-activated... Let's see what's happens...
