Unfortunately, the damage penalty model is too much to handle
Prior to the update to 1.90, the penalty was generously small, and set to default damage.
For example, a $138,000 job from Croydon to Keflavik with 6% damage had a penalty of $36,000, with default damage. This happened when I updated to 1.90. Is this a glitch or a change?

ProMods doesn't change anything about the penalties, you may have another mod running which edits the in-game penalties.

I haven't finished playing around yet but I reckoned the damage percentage (haven't bothered checking the financial) had increased on my games somewhere in the last few weeks of updating things. I tried using the 'no damage' option in the ProMods def file (step one of the download) and it was still happening so I downloaded some no damage mods to play around with things. It wasn't until I started renaming mods that I could get the no damage mods to actually work something was always overriding the 'no damage' part of the mod.
Like I say I haven't finished playing yet but it appears the change in coming from the map mod that adjusts the size of the map if you're using the RussMap mod because once I remove/rename the files or have one of the no damage mods after the map mod the 'no damage' works. Unfortunately having the no damage file after the map mod also kills the map mod so I'm not sure if there something in the map mod or not but it appears to be that mod that has changed things on my machine.
TBH I can't be stuffed going through editors and modifying other peoples stuff to make things work if I can't get the damage back to normal I'll just rid of mods until it fixes itself.
