Oh I am VERY MUCH looking forward to this. Currently CanaDream is kinda crap - it's just grass, roads and mountains. I know that Canada as a whole isn't very exciting, it will be nice to see the cities in between having some flavor.

Granite I can't blame the guys doing c2c or Canadream but whoever has been doing Canadream has been taking the shit out of my beloved homeland making the country seem like it's full of two lane roads lmao

So do we have any information as to what happened to the stuff that Stoked_Dude and Ivan were working on? Last I had heard Stoked_Dude was reworking his ProjectWest to turn it into Promods ATS after the rescale, and Ivan had released some screenshots of development that might be used later. Obviously you guys are taking a different approach now, but are these guys no longer active then and their work is now toast?

Well in all fairness Canadream was created by only once person, ManiaX, and he only very sporadically updates so obviously he's very crunched for time. It is what it is and it's better than nothing for some people who just like long drives, but it was never supposed to be anything like Promods or SCS quality. He doesn't even have anyone making custom models.

As for C2C, even though there's a fairly large team working on it, the basic layout was mostly just Mantrid laying down a basic interstate system and then copy-pasting cities in. Again, no custom models. That's because the amount of time to actually craft a detailed US in quality with custom models would take years, if not decades, if done by unpaid modders. That's evident by how long it's taking SCS to build it out. So people really need to check their expectations with Canadream and Coast2Coast. C2C is better than nothing for those that like long drives.

However, for the last couple of years there's been a concerted effort to build out individual areas, like Georgia and Florida, replacing the copy-pasted cities with detailed layouts and even some custom models. Also Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado are receiving significant attention, so slowly C2C is improving greatly.

Actually if you look on the south US states then you can see the improvement with every new version :) Coast to Coast is on a good way instead of Canadream
