@Mr Larrington - Which load order are you using?

@Drive Safely, from the top down:

[A whole bunch of non-map stuff - sound, truck mods, companies, trailers & cargo, traffic etc. etc.]

Air Connection Russia-Cairo <== Frachti did this one; adds some extra routes, which still appear on the map.
RusMap-ROS Ferry Connections <== Olsestar's mod to connect RusMap & ROS now the road connections no longer work. Ferry routes & ports still appear on the map.
ProMods/Russian Open Spaces Snow Terrain fix <== stops the ProMods/ROS combination doing a CTD in snowy areas of northern Russia.
ProMods/RusMap Road connections <== out of date now.
RusMap English Cargo & Climate Fix <== Frachti translation. Doesn't actually do anything to climate any more, just translates cargo names.
RusMap Map v1.6.3
RusMap Model 2 v1.6.3
RusMap Model v1.6.3
PJ Indonesia v1.8
ProMods Def
ProMods Map
ProMods Media
ProMods Models 2
ProMods Models 1
ProMods Assets
RusMap Def v1.6.3
Russian Open Spaces English <== Frachti's translation of city & cargo names
Russian Open Spaces v3.1
Russian Open Spaces v3.1 Map <== tried original and updated versions
Russian Open Spaces v3.1 Model
Egypt 03 (v1.0)
Egypt 02 (v1.0)
Egypt 01 (v1.0)
Eldorado v1.62 <== removed the file /def/world/traffic_rules.felix.sii to make it work with older versions of ProMods, TSM & MHA
EAA v4.0 Fix 3
EAA v4.0 <== commented out bits of various files in the /def/world directory to make it work with older versions of ProMods, TSM & MHA

This order worked more or less OK before the ProMods update, though EAA v4 isn't very reliable when used with other map mods. I also had Project Balkans before the update but taking that out only fixed the missing cities in the ProMods area.

I've taken out all EAA- and Russian Open Spaces-related mods for now and all loads fine (not done any jobs yet because Olympics) but it'd be nice to have them back again. I don't really trust EAA to cooperate with anything though - v4.0 has given plenty of map- and cargo-related problems even before the ProMods update.

Edit: Now made a couple of trips with the new version (and without EAA & ROS) and all was well apart from taking an hour or so to get to the bottom of a CTD on both roads heading north at Kaunas. Which was caused by the 'grassdef.2fr' entry in Eldorado's /def/world/detail_vegetation_def.sii. I think this caused CTDs north of Sao Paulo with EAA v4 but I couldn't find it earlier due to being unable to tell the difference between 'grass_south' and 'south_grass'.

I am a bear of little brain.

ShirBlackspots wrote:There seems to have been a major road change from Strasbourg to Stuttgart. ProMods 2.03 I could drive directly to either city, now I have to take a longer way around:
The previous connection was still from the scs-vanilla map which had little (if any) foundation in reality. Apart from omitting the A5 (which already is a major insult) they managed to suppress a small creek between Germany and France (which is only known to insiders as the Rhine)...
There are federals road across the Black Forest and connecting with A81 in RL but you wouldn't take them as a lorrydriver. Even for cars google recommends the detour via the A8/A5 interchange near Karlsruhe. Which is about what you get in 2.1 . The only deviation from reality (and real detour) is that you take the Pierre-Pflimlin-Bridge (which is one bridge down from Europe-Bridge which you'd take in real life - crossing into Germany). As Strasbourg is still vanilla and the DLC France is looming - maybe remodelling that bridge will make it easier to merge with the DLC

I couldn't wait for the game to send me there so I had my test profile hijack a load of beef and take it to Svalbard from Helsinki, then drove back to Nikel via the quarry in the hills behind Kirkenes. The word "awesome" is overused these days but that part of the latest map deserves it. Image

Loving the new parts, I have driven through Russia now, over to Kirkenes and then taken the ferry up to Longyearbyen.

I really love the narrow and bumpy roads in Russia and Northern Norway!! Keep it up

Bonus points if, after reaching Longyearbyen, you manage to drive your truck up here:

Don't know why the notice on the wall says the building is "Government Of N.W.I. Area Offices Inuvik" coz I think I'd have noticed if I'd driven to Canada :D

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that model (or maybe just the sign) is from one of the old 18 WOS games. Ask ETS2User, I'm pretty sure he's the one who designed this part of the map.

Haha.. So at the top of Longyearbyen, you will find Canada :D

Looks like ProMods is busted, maybe it could be a prefab borrowed from 18 WoS: Extreme Trucker?

You're right of course, but this small mishap wasn't intended at all by the PM Team, in fact, they might be working on some small fixes already to alter that sign's appearance and make it less Canadian and more Norwegian.

PM isn't busted, it's gained some new perspective, I still support them even after such a tiny mistake that if you look the other way, doesn't bother us at all. Happy trucking. :)

Haha yes well of course, dont get me wrong.. I dont care what they use!

I didnt "blame" them for doing anything wrong, saying "busted" was more meant as a little joke, or pun. Sorry
