Hello,

What laptop to use for ETS2 and Promods and some truck and other mods on high graphics :D .
I'm no computer expert and don't know a lot about specs on laptops.

The reason I want to use a laptop is because I'm not home a lot. Normally I'm 2 to 3 weeks away from home with my truck.

Hope this is the right place to ask this question.

Thanks Haye

Get an i7 core laptop with a built-in Geforce GTX950M or higher, minimum of 8GB of RAM and an SSD drive.
There are plenty of laptops that now have GTX960, 970 or even faster cards built-in.

I have an Acer Nitro VN7 with a GTX950M and it runs very well

My Laptop:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alienware 17 i7-4710 2.5GHz
16GB DDR3
GeForce GTX 860M 2GB GDDR5
Doesn't have to be over the edge. I play with a 1GB GT650M laptop with 8GB RAM and i7 and never lag (I use medium graphics but make the scale higher to 110% and set a few settings to high). I guess the I7 helps
A question to laptop users. Do any of you use Nvidia Inspector running ETS2/ATS? I've tried using it and my frames went down to 15-20. Without using it I can achieve 50-60 frames no problem and setttings are on high but I would like to get rid of the jagged edges. I know It won't run quite as perfect as my desktop because a laptop isn't quite as powerful as a desktop. I have a ASUS ROG laptop. I7, 860M, 16GB RAM. Just wondering if someone has some ideas for optimal settings in Nvidia Inspector without it being laggy.
Also, does an i7 have a considerable advantage over an i5?
I've heard that in gaming there is barely a difference
Acer Aspire V3-571G
i5, 2,6 GHz with turbo boost up to 3,2 GHz, Nvidia 2 GB, 8 GB memory.
I play on high detail and if is temperature ok (use cooler pad and periodic clean from dust), game works good.
Most games don't use the Hyperthreading capability of the i7, so no I would go for a nice i5 in combination with a good gpu.
Happy trucking!
