What's wrong with the scale as it is right now?

There isn't really an easy way to change the scale of the whole map...

It's huge work as I see... ETS has pretty decent scale I think. Other thing is ATS's scale. For US it's just a disaster...

Why? 1:19 resp. 20 is quite a well chosen scale for both games I'd say.

realistic scale? are you suggesting something as big as 1:1? surely you know that a project of that magnitude would take eons to complete right?

Wouldn't be fun either... It would take real-time days to get from Kirkenes to Barcelona....

You speak for yourself. I think it would be fun. I know it can't and could never happen but I would love a 1.1 scale map. It may take real-time days to drive somewhere but there is always the 'Save' feature to carry on the journey when you next feel like it.

Trust me, it's a game. Most of people who play it, expect fun, not hardcore experience. I'm sure that 90% of them won't like 1:1. Remaining 10% are patient people, who can drive, and drive, and drive... It would be a very realistic simulator then but it has to make profit to SCS. This game with 1:1 map wouldn't be bought by so many players and imagine how long it'll take to create. 1:19 is just alright (well, cities are too small because of it but you can't have everything).

Maybe 1:15 scale, like United Kingdom could be a better decision when Scs planned this game, letting more space to build decent cities, but at this point it's too late to stretch everything. 1:1 scale is good for standalone maps that cover only 1 state (like Hungary or Northern Scandinavia maps for example)

I'm sure it's not what OP means, but a slight issue for me is scale (in a perspective sense) as rendered by the SCS game engine.
All the objects look great close up, but at distance from the vehicle, everything looks too big (even though they are both de-saturated and blurred)
