Is the free download of the mod slowed down on purpose?

The new download links are very slow indeed
Normally I can download all Promods files in 30mins, now it takes me 1 hour to download 1 file..

I downloaded from free links 3 files at sametime, all came 190k/s in 20min, then rest.
I've serious issues with paypal now, thats why used free links.

Sorry we can't help the fact that PayPal is blocked in Turkey, some people in Turkey use foreign accounts with VPN

The only way to integrate the payment gateway is via PayPal

As I've stated on the forums many times now our download URL's for the free download are simply getting overwhelmed with requests. Focus on one download at once and don't use a download manager (it'll slow it down more at the moment). It'll be slow but there isn't much we can do. I do have plans to up the resources on the hosts at a later date however we can't do that at the moment without breaking many other peoples current downloads.

You've got to be patient - the free download links are artifically limited at 100kb/sec (at the moment) to ensure that as many people as possible are able to download it successfully - this means the max possible bandwidth you're able to get from the free download links is 300kb/sec however I wouldn't even count on this since the servers are very overloaded.

How heavy is the load normally? At 300kb/s I could serve around 500 concurrent downloads LOL

We have currently transferred something around 4 TB of data in under 24 hours.

Furthermore we're also somehow using 4x more bandwidth then our provider provides us...

I've already stated that is a fact. There will be times when we've got less load and more bandwidth to play around with (like right now actually) where I up the limit but when a release comes out expect the free download to be slower than normal and only download a single file at a time.
