Why so many people asks about that ?
This is third topic in this month about becoming a beta tester

Because if closer to the release, the more people want to get it even this week earlier (probably )

The problem is that most of people asking how to become a beta tester are not actually interested in finding and reporting bugs, but just want to get newest version earlier.

Yeah, that's what I meant, that they want to get the new version even those 2-3 days earlier (no sense to me tho).

can you make money contributing donations as a way to be selected for a beta tester?

I would think that the answer to that is, no.

We select beta-testers based on the frequency and quality of reports. It doesn't matter how big or slim your wallet is
