1.27 promods without France

why cant we who has not buyed the dlc viva la france play this New 1.27 update??

Because Promods supports at some point only games with all dlcs, as they usually use assets from the dlc in their mod too at different points of the map.

When 2.12 and 2.15 were released in December 2016, we were constantly reminding that every new version after 2.15 will require Vive la France DLC. So you had 4 months to prepare yourself by buying it

First of all - it's really hard to maintain even 1 properly working version (especially after patch 1.27 messed up a lot), so you can't expect us to spend the same amount of time and hard work on maintaining 2.12 for some small group of players that didn't buy the DLC.
And the second thing - we use latest DLC assets also in other countries, so it's just impossible to release a new version without this DLC requirement.

I'm thrilled that you released the comp. patch so quickly as I intended to stay close to my previous game version a little longer, that's no longer necessary, I'll upgrade it straitaway.

Sorry but people who don't have France are an absolute minority. The percentage of people who don't have all 3 DLC's is <4% of the active ETS2 community. We cannot cater for everybody because keeping non-DLC dependency forces us to develop another branch of the mod. This project is huge and complex and that added burden is simply not acceptable

I set every month 3,50 euro a side for ETS2/ATS purchases. That is 42 euro each year, it's (more than) enough to buy all the official DLC from SCS and also use the ProMods paid download links. In some countries you pay 3,50 euro in a bar for just a beer..

As previously stated there will be no more promods versions without dlc France requirement because assets from the dlc are being used all over the map. The DLC is not that expensive and it is already hard for the team to keep one version up to date with all those ETS2 updates.
