I'm hoping that Spain would be added soon maybe the next update after 2.20? now that we got France and whatnot from SCS would be nice to add Spain in. Just a suggestion.

Start your game, and load your profile which runs ProMods 2.17. If it loads, get in your truck.
While in your truck, press 'M', a map will magically appear.
Use the right mouse button to get to the bottom left of the map.
You will see some of Spain, which already has been added to the game for quite some time now.
Spain is a big country, and just as Rome, it can't be build in a day.

I suspect the next MAP DLC of SCS is the 'south' version which finally would complement Italy (I know that Rome wasn't build in a day, but I'm already waiting 5 years) and some of Spain.
I have a slight feeling SCS is adding new mapping resources (employees) to the ATS states at the moment as people are complaining about the lack of realestate..
Some forget that ETS2 had a head start as it was able to reuse several maps/regions from earlier earlier sims, namely German Truck Simulator, UK Truck Simulator, Scania Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 1.
That is why most of the original core map still looks outdated in comparison with the newer DLCs. Cali, Arizona, Las Vegas and New Mexico are large states compared to states on the east coast.
I also hope to welcome a few new truck brands such as Freightliner or Mack. Dreams, I've got plenty of them..

They didn't use any footage from the latter 2, as STDS had a 100% fictional map and ETS1 ran on a different engine and map scale.

They indeed didn't use the map from STDS, but they copied the Scania trucks (with some tweaks). That is why Scania was the only real brand in ETS2 when it came out. Side note: ETS2 came out only 6 months later
I must emit, I do miss the truck driver competitions in ETS2/ATS. I would have been nice if they copied some of the concepts to ETS2 like some sort of exam to level up (for instance every 5 xp levels).
