The thing is, with concept maps, that it is mostly created by the people who are probably biased about that area (they are either living there, or it is their favourite location) and it is also made by those people who don't understand the issue of space and scale, that could possibly cause developers to miss at least 1/4 of the cities shown on their concept map.
In addition to that, developers always know better, as they understand the issue of space and scale, therefore, they do know where they can develop, and where they cannot.

One thing I have noticed with some concept maps is that the cities shown are usually based on population, not their importance to the trucking industry.
ProMods has done a very good job with picking cities that are important to the transfer and/or production of goods.

Well, I don't live in Galicia, Castilla y Leon or Asturias. I know that places. I don't live there.
If you look there are no cities with less than 80km distance (except for Baiona-Vigo) in Spain (Portugal was made by gmtavares), so I think is a good scale. I also think the cities I put were very important either for truck industry, either for population
