I suppose some people don't understand what scale really means in either a mathematical or realistic sense. By changing from 1:19 to 1:10 you are quite literally many hundreds of km to the game. I believe we are at about 5% scale at 1:19 so 200 km is more like 10.5 km in the game. If the team switched to 1:10 or 10% scale you add 9.5 km to that journey, but that isn't just limited to the distance between origin and destination, It's a map wide change and you start to realize a lot the compromises that you needed to make on the small scale no longer are needed and that you have to add in quite a lot to make up for the empty space you have added in. The biggest issue is always going to be work time as you increase scale the more time you need to expend on the map and not everyone has that kind of time to finish that extra work.
What about 1:9.5 scale, because 1:9.5 is half of 1:19
I think 1:9.5 is easy to count than 1:10
I guess it's a good idea for 1:9.5 scale

It would make map 4 times larger than now because it is not all about only distance, the map is about area. 2 times larger in distance means 4 times larger in area.

It may be half of 1:19 but that’s still creating a gap equal to what’s already there that we then have to fill with scenery. It’s not just a case of stretching all the roads out a bit, it’s also redoing half of that road from scratch, which when that road is all of Europe the space that needs to be filled gets quite significant.

1/10 is too much to make it happen, but 1/17 and even 1/15 are okay-ish...

even a small Scale change will require a rebuld of the whole Map.

Any re-scale will end up being a lot of work.

1. You need to add new pieces of road everywhere! And the current map is really big already. Even when scale up just a bit, that means a lot of sections to fill in, and the scale just determines how much you need to add.
2. Any new DLC won't fit on the map, as they are built in 1:19, making DLC integration a much slower process.
3. Any addon will have to adapt as well. This will break compatibility with RusMap, Southern Region, Poland Rebuilding and Project Balkans. And I think this would upset a lot of people. So from a marketing standpoint, this is a very bad idea.

That could be topic 4-5 years ago. Today, even if 1:15 or 1:10 (which I prefer) is better scale, there is no other option except to stay on 1:19.
Working on San Diego map, 2:5 scale: www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=25293
I NEED HELP for:
- landscape
- details
- signage and
- company advisors (which companies to put where)

Is it possible to make a map of Europe on a scale of 1: 3 or 1: 5 on a new substrate rather than the standard one? It would be more a sense of reality.

England is scale 1:15, is it not? Does that include Scotland by Promods?
