7 Zip is rubbish. Use WinRAR to avoid any hassles. I use it and it works like a charm. All these different parts don't bother me at all. Plus, it works not only for Promod packages, but for other different ones as well.Frankster446 wrote:When I installed the archive, there is this one file that called promods-v162.scs and when I try to drag it into my mod file, it says "CRC failed in 'promods-v162.scs'. File is broken." I use 7-Zip and this is very annoying, please help!

What an odd comment. I've use 7-Zip for years and have never had any problems with it at all.tkk7406 wrote:7 Zip is rubbish.

Did I denigrate his opinion? I merely said it was odd based on my own experience. The Mad One wrote:We are all entitled to opinions. Let him have his.
If anything 7-Zip is possibly too powerful for the average user. There is no other archive utility that will allow me to edit a compressed file within another compressed file, save the changes, and exit without having to completely unpack, edit, save, and then repack the archive.

I can't download download packages part 2 and part 3, because 7-zip says that .scs file is broken.

Please read the tutorial again http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3852
You do not need to extract every part on itself.
Try to redownload them, I never had any problems with 7zip.
