Can that number be increased a while after new version, when server load is light?

No. I don't think our server managers will do that. It's an unnecessary change of the server parameters, which they'll need to change every time. A job that will become a unnecessary pain in the ass.

It can't calculate server load and then decide how much concurrent downloads to allow? I am a programmer and that doesn't sound like a hard job.

2 downloads, and 2 downloads it is ;) If you want it nice and easy, use the paid download.

Correct. I have a full-time job and other commitments. I do this on a volunteer basis. I just want the free download to "work" and not have to spend time babysitting it.

It'll stay at 2 concurrent threads as we've determined this is the sweet spot for our servers which manage multiple terabytes of transfer per month. Also, at the end of the day still allows you to grab the mod for free.

If you want it faster, the paid download is less than a price of a Coffee and goes towards serving that download with a small percentage going back to keeping the lights on.

Are all the parts hosted on the same server. It lets me download parts 1 and 7 at the same time but not 1 and 2?

Problems extracting the files

I have downloaded all promods 2.33 files (I don't have the Baltic dlc) + the def file and tried to extract only first file with 7z. There was an error message and the file didn't got extracted. The first file also looked just like the other ones. I tried to extract the other ones but got an error message too. The only file I was able to extract was the def file. I re-downloaded the files and got the exact same problem. Also, what are those .part files for?

@_trace27, take a look at the tutorial: [TUTORIAL] How To Install & Update ProMods [2.30]. If you downloaded the file tester then start with step #7 of the tutorial, otherwise start with step #8.

You must have all 7 parts downloaded into the same folder before trying to open part ".001", it is a multi-part 7zip archive. All 7 files must have the same filename except for the ".001", ".002", ".003", etc. Once you have extracted the contents of the multi-part 7zip archive, place the files you extracted into your mod folder. You do not need to extract the definition file, you place that file into your mod folder as-is.

I did everything as explained. But the .001 file was also a .7z File just like the other files and not a .rar. Besides the normal 7z.00x files there were also 00x.part files for some of the parts (I think it was 3,4 and 6 or so)

I'm gonna try it once again today and send a screenshot of the files.

Btw there are two def files linked if you go to compatibility/2.33: def and def ST. I only downloaded the normal def file. Hope that was right.
