Ads from free download link more than intrusive

While attempting to download the 2.20 of pro mods via adfly etc. more often than not it didn't download a part of promods but opened multiple pop ups with advertising and false error pop ups trying to get me to install things. I think this has led to adfly sending download requests but not actually downloading the files onto the pc. leading me to have to go through the download link again and again in the hope that the ads wouldn't prevent me from downloading. Due to this i have now been blocked from finishing my download for "at-least a few hours".
This is especially irritating as i downloaded 2.18 from here on the 30/08/17 and have downloaded many versions previous and it has absolutely fine.
(sorry for the rant)
Is there anything i can do (without paying) to resume my download?

If you can show the screenshot of the page when you download, i can see what the problem might be.
I have made it a paint thing

I have tried several times, no downloads, only stupid advertisement, so you realy should change some things there. Now you make your downloads impossible and hard
As stated there is a huge amount of traffic going through our servers so look at my suggestions on my last post or use the paid download. It is not impossible to download if you follow the rules around doing so.

hi there I have been told my connection limit has been exceeded when I am only downloading 2 files furthermore I have been told if I try to get around this again it will result to a ban. this happens every time I try to downloaded the map. also I have no other browser open so am not downloading in another browser.
on the bright side awesome map.

Don't use internet download manager or similar and you really should have another browser downloaded, just in case. I recommend Opera and Firefox for safe and reliable browsing.

I paid the 1 dollar. But I would recommend downloading at night, because that's off peak time. It's problematic driving when capacity is exceeded.

No. There are warnings given before this happens and looking at your IP you've had 3 of them indicating if you keep trying to add more downloads to the queue you'll get blocked. Adfly doesn't send requests to our servers it is only your browser when you request a download.

On the next round take it easy and don't try and mass download. You'll see by the server load indicator plenty of other people are successfully downloading.

I downloaded the whole package yesterday, when the servers had light traffic load and while I had to disable a few add-ons just to see the ad.fly page and get the skip ad button to appear. I did eventually get the entire thing without too much of an issue. The only hitch I found was that ad.fly seemed to give me a duplicate tab when I clicked the skip-ad button the first time and had an error appear that said "cannot connect to server" or something of that nature and had to close the two download file windows that appeared below the error, if I clicked again on Skip-Ad this problem didn't occur and could then download the files properly. Otherwise its as straightforward a process as it was before.

NEW TOPIC
Just downloaded the free version - O.K. had to do part 005 twice but no sweat - and when I unzipped the files all I got were 6 files (scs) which were all to do with trailers & compavies and were all marked as v114.

IS this right?

I was expecting something totally different as you claim you had added cities - changed road layouts etc etc.

HELP

It seems you downloaded the ProMods Trailer and Company Pack (TCP) version 1.14 instead of the actual ProMods map 2.20 files.
The ProMods map download is broken into six 250MB downloads followed by a smaller one for the final part, if you are downloading the free version.

You may want to recheck the download page and make sure you click on the correct links this time.
The ProMods TCP is designed to work with the ProMods map, however.
