Well, I just discovered something:

The line "00:04:19.010 : init_truck 1ms" in my log.

Is this normal? I tried to load the game a couple of times. play it until I get this strange "hiccups" and then immediately quit and read the log. This line appears ALWAYS at the moment when FPS falls. And it does not matter if I have any mods or not, the only connection to your map is that I got this problem for the first time exactly when I entered the region recreated by you (near Hamburg). Is this a clue for you...?

Now I see some errors that I missed
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.kristiansand)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.odense)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.flensburg)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.oslo)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.goteborg)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.helsinki)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.kolding)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.turku)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.jonkoping)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.stockholm)
00:00:23.861 : <ERROR> Garage spawn point not found! (kdop_link.garage.aalborg)
This means that either the map is not loading or the def files are not loading correctly.

Can you confirm that when you click EDIT in Profile all the 3 promods.scs files are there??

That's normal. It's the time it takes to load your background truck (the one that's rotating in the background) in game screen. It shows everytime you hit escape.

I'm an ex pc repair shop technician and if your getting graphical problems after 1-2 mins if playing it sounds like either your graphics card is getting too hot ( turn off PC, unplug PC from mains , with a small clean paintbrush (yes technical tools are used :) ) carefully flick towards you any dust on the video card and also any dust in the fins on the graphic card cooler. If it is dusty I guarantee it will run properly once cleaned. And whilst your in the PC with the mains unplugged it won't hurt to have a good dust in and around the CPU and its cooler.

Hope that helps you.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your advice. I downloaded a temperature monitor. As tfirst the reading is about 47-48C, after a while of playing it rises and stabilises at about 64C. Surprisingly, I have NO PROBLEMS with the animation today. I am driving in Germany, towards Denmark. I will let you know if I have problems once I reach the new map.

NitroUK: Thank you so much, mate!!

Upon reaching Denamark, ehwn heavier models appeared, the temperature rose to 66C and the hiccups began. So I paused the game, let it cool downo to 55 and resumed. It worked!! So now at least I know what's gonig on. Thanks a lot, the topic can be considered finished (or rather, I hope so :-) ).
