When I update Promods map, what will happen to my explored roads?

I'm kinda big on exploration. Once a new version of the map comes out, would I need to re-discovery the places I've been before? Not counting places I haven't explored in the first place, of course.

This is my observation: The game remembers the cities you've visted. If Promods have rebuild the roads to the city, you will lose the discovery of those roads.
The cool thing is you see what has been changed. There could be a road that you've driven on but a part of it shows as undiscovered. That's because it's been rebuilt. Makes it fun to drive on roads you've driven on before because you know you are gonna see something new.
