What happens to garages/trucks if I remove ProMods?

Hi folks,

I've got a bunch of garages in ProMods areas (for example, three in Iceland). If I remove ProMods, what happens to these garages, trucks and drivers?

Before anyone asks the very valid question of "hey, why would you want to remove ProMods?", it's so I can run some Special Transport jobs.

Also, I'm sure I have other garages in ProMods areas so is there a definitive list of exactly what cities are added so I can check against my garage list please?

For the cities added/rebuilt by promods there is the compatibility page, which lists all the cities added/rebuilt in each version : compat.php

I suggest to get rid of all drivers and their trucks, then sell the garages and remove PM. As always, do a backup of your profile, just in case something goes wrong.

Thanks - That's probably good advice but at the moment with around 45 garages, many of them running at 100%, I think I'll wait for 2.26 to hit.

Actually, you should be fine just removing ProMods from the mod manager straight away. No guarantee, so still make a backup, but you shouldn't get more than just a few error messages and as soon as you re-install ProMods, the garages will be back again.

Make sure that your HQ is in one of the vanilla game cities and you could do as ETS2-User said.

Instead of getting rid of all drivers and trucks, transfer them to new garages so you dont loose their experience and cash.

create new profile.. copy old profile data, sell garages.. remove mods and play vanilla.. or just create new profile and play vanilla game w/ or w/o any mods.. (except map mods)
