DLC

Hello, I'd like to use ProMods because I live in Lithuania and I'd like to drive where I live , but I have none of the required DLC's . The obvious fix would be to buy them, but that's why I'm writing here. I do NOT want to buy them. I just want to use the mod. Without any DLC's. Would that be possible? Thanks in advance.

No, that's not possible. We're largely dependent on all the high quality assets the DLCs provide, let alone the map sectors themselves of course.

TY, for Your fast answer. But still: What would happen if I'd use it without any DLC? The game would crash? Corrupt profile?

You can't even load the Mod. There's a DLC Dependency in manifest.sii File from the Mod Files, that marks the files as incompatible in Mod Manager when you don't have the required DLCs or Game Version.
If you want to play this Map withput any DLC, you would have to downgrade ETS2 to 1.18 and play ProMods 1.91: compat.php
But I wouldn't recommended this cause you would miss many new ETS2 and ProMods features. And you would probably have many Bugs from that area.

What if I'd edit the manifest.sii? I have notepad++ and do a metric ton of file editing so what would hapen then? TY in advance!

Edit: That old version doesn't have the main thing I want: Lithuania.

You cant acces all Mod files, only Def and Map file. All other files are locked and can't be accesed. So you wouldn't get them all. And even if you could bypass that lock and edit manifest.sii in ProMods files it would crash because it can't load the DLC related files, for the Assets or prefabs used on the Map.

You can buy it on CDKeys, it's far more cheaper option than buy a 20€+ CD from a regular shop.

I have a Steam copy, not a boxed realease, since here we don't even have boxed releases.
