I see the free download server is getting a hammering, slow down peeps, know you all want it now but the server is at 166%

Wowsers! Thats crazy, 200%+
As you said Vøytek, considering non major release it's an enormous amount.
What it does show is that PMs is massive and when people talk about ETS2 they 99% talk about PMs!
I've used PMs since the v1.0 and seen it grow like a snowball rolling down a hill, I don't think this snowball will melt nor the hill run out of snow!
Did I mention I like snow? No...okay well I love snow which living in the UK isn't a bad thing and yes I use a Motorbike in the snow, ride all year round.

Ditto, I pay the 77p to download, easy to do and less messing about.
If I see someone moan that the free download isn't working or they somehow downloaded something they believe came from PMs indirectly due to wrong clicking, I will try the free way to test it.
Looking at this moment it was showing 90% load still.


2.30.... I wonder if the load % will hit an all time high and people online will surpass the one thats been showing for a while now, 624 people online at 5 Sept 2017 I remember that day, I was online as well.
I'm sure MichaelMurfy will have some good stats for us.

It peaked to just over 200% of our server capacity. Our provider allows us to burst the capacity of each server for a short period so I wasn't too worried when I saw this - our servers were working totally fine

The servers, themselves won't shut down / crash or anything if they get overloaded - it'll just mean each user will experience less than 200kb/sec per download so hammer away!

I followed the link you posted, and I see 57 topics, but nothing that answers the question posted. I was also wondering about this 2.30. I am not a frequent flyer here, and I have to say that it has been difficult getting up to speed on the project and progress. I see lots of "areas 2.x" but not a over arching explanation. Or I have not come across it yet.

Is there a link to a post that conveys this information concisely? what the plan is and what 2.30 entails?
