If this passes, this is the end for me. There are tons of mods in my game that I rely on.

Yes i can understand you well and i dont think that i will use Ets2 or Ats anymore,if the new law for the copyrights thing comes to take an effect later this year because i use mods too and with out them those games are not the same anymore for me,but we can hope that it will not be a new law for the Eu and then i can continue to use those games in the future too.

Well not yet and hopefully that will not happen, but we must see what happens with that thing later.Hopefully the people in the Eu could see how crazy it would be,if they actually make a new law for the copyrights thing

You are buying the game, so SCS is giving you a game for your money, so once you buy it you should be allowed to do what ever you want with it. It's your copy. That'll be like Chevrolet suing you for souping up your Corvette with aftermarket parts, or being arrested for Painting Minnie Mouse on your child's Ikea dresser. Or going to jail for putting a Scania engine in a DAF. That will also be like the CocaCola company suing McDonald's for selling Coke and Sprite. Or Pepsi suing KFC for serving Pepsi. It doesn't make sense. They may as well make movies illegal. Or T.V.

....Or Internet. They may as well make cameras illegal in Europe. Even YouTube is ridiculous. I recorded me playing ProMods 2.2 on YouTube with my music on my radio playing and it was deleted because of the background music violated copyright laws. But they won't stop people from singing covers of songs on YouTube. I could understand stopping someone from using the internet for illegal activities like child pornography or selling or buying ilicit drugs like weed, cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. But to making modding a game that a person already paid for illegal, that's just plain old stupid.

I don't think you've quite understood it.

A more accurate comparaison (but still not 100% accurate) would be if McDonald's would give free Coca-Cola model truck with each happy meal without the authorisation of Coca Cola. Especially if it's bad quality one, because it could give Coca-Cola a bad reputation...
