Do I play on OpenGL or directx?

Do I play on OpenGL or dx9. I saw google wrote that GL is better.
ProMods user since: 2.15.
PC specs: I don't like to say them.
Langauges: a bit FR Image , EN Image and AR. Busy with School!

More mods have better compatibility with DirectX.
ProMods moderator, translator, and tester. ATS and ETS2 player and modder. Author e.g. of the Profile Jumpstart mods. Fennoswede from the Finnish archipelago.

use DirectX 9 if you play on windows, it's better than OpenGL.

@Trucker2223, to be more precise, both DirectX and OpenGL are available for Windows users. But OpenGL is the only option available for MacOS and Linux users.

I've read like Nvidia users should use OpenGL and AMD users DirectX. Is it correct? My laptop has a GeForce 940MX integrated card. I guess I should select OpenGL?

That's not really the case.

When your using Windows, it's recommend to run the game in DirectX. There's no reason to use OpenGL on Windows.

OpenGL is there for MacOS and Linux users, since they can't use DirectX.
Sure you can run OpenGL on Windows too, but DirectX mode is far more suitable for Windows.
