Stupid question: Where can I download Trailer & Company Pack v1.17???

as the download link points to this: https://www.promods.net/setup.php - which is obviously the "def" file for ProMods 2.30.

Also, I am still on ETS2 v1.3.1, I paid to have the 1 download link for ProMods 2.27.
How is it determined if I use RusMap?

Yes it points to the downloads section. When going to the second step of the three (so the actual dowloading part) you can find the TCP und the heading EXTRA: .

Regarding ProMods 2.27 and RusMap: RusMap 1.8.1 is compatible with ProMods 2.27. If you are using ProMods 2.30, RusMap 1.8.1 will still work. However, you will need the new road connector file and a legacy compatible fix (by Davyddin, located here. For all download links (for either version), head over here.

Regarding your last question: what are you asking? The def file is the most important file needed in order for ProMods to work, if that's what you're asking.

Correct. What I am looking for is the "promods-def-v227.scs" - file.
It is not included in the download.

All I have is:
promods-assets-v227.scs
promods-map-v227.scs
promods-media-v227.scs
promods-model1-v227.scs
promods-model2-v227.scs
promods-model3-v227.scs

How or where can I obtain it? As you said yourself, it's the most important file needed and as such determines if I have RusMap installed.

Please note, when downloading the ProMods 2.27 Definition file it will contain the default settings (which is like NOT checkmarking the box for compatibility with RusMap). If you find that your in-game world map will not allow you to scroll to the RusMap areas then you will need to convert your ProMods Definition file to be compatible with RusMap by following the steps outlined under "How to activate the RusMap Zoom Fix in the def file of an older ProMods version" in this post: [Q&A] Load order of recommended compatible maps (1.31).

If you use the legacy compatibility fix, you do not need any new RusMap road connector; the 2.27 road connector will work.
