Promods and WOT contracts

Hi guys,

I'm really interested to start the WOT Germany event thing but I read somewhere that WOT contracts don't often work with Promods (i recall it is because of some cities that doesn't exist in the vanilla map) . True to the fact, i received an error because of truck positioning issues in WOT.

Is there any way to circumvent this issues?

It's not really possible to solve the problem because WOT is normally done for the base map and not for the maps.

Even I do not recommend WOT jobs and Promods together, especially for beginners. This will give too much troubles.

But that said, it is not impossible...

I've just finished the community event delivering cargos from and to Germany with Promods enabled

It's just important, that you only accept jobs to SCS made cities.

I used the Volleybal4life map on a separate screen to look in to, when selecting the jobs.

And i forgot to mention, i see ( ), never cross the open water. Tunnel or ferry is not working. When i went to Sweden for a WOT job, i took the bridge in Nyborg. This only makes 1 hour difference against the ferry. Forget England or Iceland with WOT jobs. Won't work...

So for experienced drivers there is a way...

I guess i gotta find list of vanilla cities then, it'll help a lot to find the original cities

Based on my personal experience even making sure you are delivering to cities that are in the vanilla map does not totally eliminate having problems. The most irritating part is that many times you don't know there will be a problem until you have driven all the way to the destination. Now days I always do events on a profile without any map mods.

You can of course always do events in combination with TruckersMP.
That one also requires a vanilla profile..

TruckersMP doesn't allow any mod so it will be automatically a vanilla profile.

No, but you can do WOT contract in TruckersMP as it's requires the vanilla map..
I use the TruckersMP profile for both WOT and MP. That way I don't have to create another profile and re-assign all buttons and settings and keep them in sync with the other.

I wish SCS had a copy profile option. Or at least an option to synchronize the settings and bindings..

Did you try copying "config.cfg" and "controls.sii" file to your second profile?

That takes care of the settings, yes (I do it to every new profile). It should also be possible to create a new profile and copy over the three profile files, correcting the profile name.
