ProMods 2.45 has been released. It runs on game version 1.36 and requires ALL map DLCs. It is not compatible with open beta 1.37.

Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are sadly unable to expand our server capacity as per usual and the free download servers are likely to be overwhelmed upon release. Please be kind and patient or use the paid service for a better experience.

With the addition of border crossing functionality in Beyond the Baltic Sea, is the plan to add these to other areas of the map with a 'hard border' (grr Brexit), such as:
  • EU external borders in Eastern Europe (Poland/Ukraine, Hungary/Serbia etc.)
  • Switzerland borders
  • UK/France
  • Norway/Sweden
  • Andorra borders
  • Gibraltar (when you go over that way)

But I don't think that Schengen Area is a big problem, so maybe not that much borders, but what about Northern Ireland and Ireland?
I speak German and English. (And some Latin :D )
Learning (or wanting to learn them :D): Czech, Slovakian, Russian, Polish, Finnish, Estonian and Latvian (Seems longer than it is)

Not a 'hard border''; there are no passport control or customs checkpoints on that border and the desire to avoid a return to the latter (which existed before 1987) is of course a big issue in Brexit. You could certainly add some disused facilities on the roads that are there in RL if not already present.

While Norway is in Schengen, it does have customs posts for goods to declare - as does Switzerland (although not always manned, there may be a phone instead). The facilities are built in game, they'd just need the border bits added.

I'm sure there will be.

It seems like a logical step to add them, and the ProMods team always goes for logical resolutions.

I'll drop off the Norway-Sweden checks (and probally the Switzerland and Andorra as well). You can freely move between Norway and Sweden without getting the mandatory passport checks. Also, if it's possible can you extend the time of border checks and add some custom ones as well? ;) I think many custom stations made by ProMods are already good enough, and there is no need to replace them by a repeating prefab.

I was referring to customs checks - passport checks were eliminated in 1952 with the Nordic Passport Union. Different thing. The checks are generally conducted together in RL at a land border; hence why you're waiting for 4/5 minutes.

The stations are good enough, they just need the functionality i.e. barriers and flashing icons adding.
