Increase FPS

I enjoy promods and I know it add some quality and ofc lots of new roads etc all for free and I appreciate it very much the hard work. but can we please come to agreement and say that the fps is just bad. with the Baltic dlc now I decided to create a new profile and not use promods and my fps never dip below 60 now which is how it should be and there is still lots of detail. so I ask if there is some way for you guys to fix the performance issues and make it like a regular scs dlc?

maybe don't make it a mod anymore and instead in the main game folder with the dlc's? even charge $5 for it if it is same performance as scs. its really disappointing that I have to use the regular game and not promods because the dips in fps are just too bad. I know it has something to do with it being considered mod and not dlc. or maybe someone talk to scs devs and ask how to make it smooth like Baltic dlc etc.

plz and thanks so much hopefully I can come back soon

We need to know which areas have low fps for you and also what's your hardware. If you won't tell us where you have issues, we have no chance to fix it.
There were some fps issues in the past but with latest patches (1.30, 1.31, 1.32) I get almost stable 60fps even in Barcelona.

And DLCs aren't flawless in this case too...

i5 4.2ghz. 8gb ram. 1070 8gb. Fps are bad in Sweden, Trondheim, Latvia, frankfurt, i think if somehow you guys can transfer the mod to a dlc file instead of bunch of .scs mods i think that will help performance because i dont have fps drops in baltic dlc.

This is neither possible nor true. There is no fundamental difference between DLC and mod archives.

Then why smooth 60 in regular DLC in Baltic then with promods Baltic fps drop in many towns to unenjoyable levels?

Frankfurt, barcelona, vienna trondheim these are big cities and even my system gets on its knees which is not normal. I have AMD 8350 / GTX1060 6GB and 24 GB Ram. In promods are my opinion some things too poligonhaltig. If you reduce the poligone a bit, that would give a better fps number in the ranges. Other games I play without any problems with 100 to 150 fps only the promods pulls extremely. linköping da also seems to be a building or something. there even gets a colleague (AMD Ryzen 5 / GTX 1060 6GB and 16 GB Ram) problems and notices that alone on the highway, the fps go down. Sometimes really annoying because it is a very nice map apart from prefab and street terror you can see in the console.

What settings do you have? High Or Ultra? And what scaling?

200 scaling and the remainder medium except the texture quality. nothing that the system can not do. in other games I play ultra and have over 100 fps.

I play ultra everything except mirrors ofc. I can use high lighting but prefer ultra. I run in 4k and runs smooth 60 without promods. they need to work more on making performance enjoyable I think. I know a lot of areas run fine but usually that's out in the country.

There are a limited amount of areas in ProMods where the density of the environment has a performance impact. Vienna and Barcelona are certainly noticeable, so is London. But this is why ProMods is ProMods. We add more detail, and we go beyond the limits of what is acceptable to SCS. The polygon/triangle count that SCS uses as maximum is at least three times lower than where we restrict ourselves. The result is that SCS maps play better on poor performance "potato" computers than ProMods. This does not mean that a high performance PC is invulnerable, because it depends on the graphic resolution and other configurations.
If you run in 4K with 400% scaling the performance impact would be huge.

Some parts of the map could be more optimised but in general there is not much that can be done without destroying parts of the city centres.
