Merging individual sections.

Whilst I appreciate that Promods' developers are all around the world, developing sections of the map, how do they get merged into the map we all know and love?

What do you mean by "merging"?
ETS2 map is split into sectors. I work in one sector, somebody else works in a different sector - we just can't work both at the same time in the same sector but that's rather easy to avoid

I mean when you guys are working on your areas of the map, when you're done, the map sections have to be combined to form the Promods map.

It's done automatically by uploading our work to a server.

How large is a sector?

The Netherlands consist of an approximate 4x5 grid, so 20 sectors. But that does contain a bit of Belgium and Germany too. France, consists of 12x13 grid, 156 sectors. So you do the math about the size of an individual sector, that also contains a bit of Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Monaco and Andorra. The sector grid are all squares. The countries borders don't follow those lines very well
