There is no other way to use this, nearly every map mod requires one or more DLC. Also you are supporting SCS, there are very little games out there which bring out feature packed updates every few months, these aren't free for SCS to make! Through DLCs you are supporting them, also the DLCs themselves are extremly high quality and are often on sale. There is really no reason not to buy them.
