1.70 crashes my new ETS 2

Hi,
I think this shows it is not my fault. There are NO mods other than the map. I deleted the start and everything after the errors started because of the size.

Game version 1.12 mod version 1.70.
Sorry to keep trying to get help but I would like the mod.

Please go to the Download page and generate a new DEF file. If you use Internet Explorer, then try another browser - in the past, IE often caused corrupted downloads.

I am new to this mod. It looks fantastic! Downloaded it this evening.

However I am also getting a crash when the loading screen starts, it begins to load almost half way then locks up.
I have followed the install instructions to the letter. I only had this mod active. I also tried starting a new profile completely.

Does this indicate a corrupt download perhaps? as other people seem to be running the mod fine.

The def generated file, i left everything default.

Hi Daza,

you need to copy all 3 files (promods-v170.scs, promods-def-v170.scs, promods-map-v170.scs) into the mod folder and enable all 3 in your profile settings.

Hi,

I'm still trying to install the Scan map 1.70 into my game version 1.12. I was told they are compatible but my game crashes when loading.
I have put the game log here for someone to check. I deleted anything before the crash and everything after it. This is to keep the size down. No mods were installed.

It's probably my fault but if so, what am I doing wrong.

Please go to Download and create a new DEF file (you only need to download the DEF file). And please use another browser than the last time - or at least clear the browser cache before creating the DEF again.

I've used Chrome to download all three parts and the DEF file, no problem with it.

Extracted them one by one, first part 1, then part 2 at have lastly part 3 and works fine, by using WinRAR, I didn't had any problems.

Nononono... do not extract the seperate parts of the archive (even if it somehow worked, it's not intended to be done like that). Only open the 1st archive, they will combine automatically!!

Hi Daza,

you need to copy all 3 files (promods-v170.scs, promods-def-v170.scs, promods-map-v170.scs) into the mod folder and enable all 3 in your profile settings.

Thanks stummer and RadolSzczecin. What i had done was the mod was inside a folder and i only saw promods-v170.scs in the edit profile menu. I was assuming the game would look inside folders in the mod directory but apparently doesn't.

So yeah it works now I did a new profile and did a quick haul and notice the truck i was driving seemed to have better steering and i wondered whether pro-mods also has some tweaks made for my realistic handling or whatever?

Just another question with this mod if i use my main profile where i am level 21 and i load this mod and say a new update comes to ETS2 and Pro-mods doesn't run until they update it to the new version am i still able to unselect the mod and keep my main profile functional?? i know if you remove some mods the game kind of warns you but still runs normally. But since this mod is a map it may not be so kind?
