Well as a guy living in Belarus I can say it looks nothing like Belarus at all. Roadsigns, markings, cities just look like a filler between Russia and the rest of Europe. I don’t have the “feel” of Belarus there at all.

Well, there are Yandex panoramas which are basically the same — I’m using those a lot for my vbus project but I’m really slow on that one.
Also, that doesn’t quite explain the signs, I guess. There are places where you see that just not enough effort was put — like custom assets that are kind of okay, but they aren’t textured properly, or some iconic spots that were recreated in a really half-assed manner, or even the freakin roadsigns where names are put improrerly, diacritical signs in proper names are ommitted (like “МАГІЛЕУ” instead of “МАГІЛЁЎ”) and so on. Anyway, I get it, Belarus wasn’t quite the focus of the Rusmap, I think I even saw that explicitly stated somewhere, but hey, for me it’s usually either do it properly or don’t do it at all. That’s why I’d really like to see what ProMods team would be able to achieve. I really like their attention to details, the care and effort they put into their project. But hey, it’s ultimately their decision, so asking isn’t going to solve anything.

My other hope is SCS finally doing something in this region, but I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.
