Because, mapping all roads on Google Maps, ain't that easy as it sounds ;) Especially with an ever expanding and changing map as ProMods is.

I've already put a lot of work and time in this map. But not all free time I have goes into this map. Playing the game itself is far to much gun too :)


I updated Belgium!

And here are the facts....
On the first page I wrote: Image Belgium (Up-to-date with ProMods 2.1x):

Just found, that ferry port "Sõru" (southern Hiiumaa island, Estonia) has a typo. In maps it was marked, as "Söru (Port)" (as well, as ferry line Triigi - Sõru.)
Correct name would be --> Sõru (Port)

In estonian language both "ö" and "õ" letters are using. Try to not confuse them. ;)

VB4L... you would certainly be the person to ask... is there a transform that maps ETS2 game coords to lat-long? I'm still thinking (long term background project, pipe dream, whatever) about creating a moving map app for Android, but there's a lot of little pieces to that puzzle and the very first one is how to translate coords.

For cities that's easy, just use Google. But for roads? I don't know.

You should add the cities from the associated add-ons (Small Add-ons for ProMods, Project Balkans, Egypt Add-on for ProMods by RustyNail).

Other than that, I liked your work in that so much that I created a concept map for Portugal. :P

No I won't, I only display official ProMods add-on maps like RusMap.

Only those maps who work with us, and we with them, the ProMods team.

I was wondering when -- or if -- we might expect the Glorious Google Map to reflect the current state of the game. I kind of hate to ask because I'm guessing that Vive La France has complicated things tremendously, and I'm probably asking vb4l for a lot of brain-hurting toil. But I am wishing for an updated version because...

... because of the perennial frustration of wishing I could quickly and easily (i.e. not by switching profiles) find out who is responsible for a particular section of the road system! I want to send huge compliments to *someone* for a particularly beautiful new road in France, but am not sure whether SCS or ProMods should get the bouquets. Right now I know of no way (even in the console) to find out whose map I'm in at any given moment. The only way I can think of to find this out is to keep N profiles, one for each possible map mod, & when curious switch to each one in turn and view the World map, pan and zoom to my location (maybe take a screen snapshot so I can remember what I saw), and compare. This is very tedious compared to pulling up vb4l's wonderful google map on a spare screen and swiftly discovering whose city or road I'm enjoying at this moment.

So... love that google map. Hoping it gets updated soon so I can send those bouquets to the right crew for what may just be the most beautiful (flatland) road in the whole game.
